Feel a greater sense of connection to your true self as well as to the world around you.

Ultimate unity.

Yoga.

About me

My love for yoga began as a teenager whilst delving into my Nan’s old yoga books. It was initially the spiritual and philosophical aspects of this mysterious discipline that intrigued me. I made some attempts at the physical postures, but it wasn’t until a few years later in 1998 that I attended my first ashtanga yoga class. I quickly became aware of the physical benefits of the practice. As someone who has always liked to keep fit, yoga satisfied my need for a good workout and my body became stronger and more flexible. The challenge and the thrill of getting into new postures was enough to keep me returning to my mat each week.  I developed a deeper understanding of the significance of the breath and soon became aware of a sense of mental wellbeing during and after my practice. My mind felt still, calm and clear. Twenty years on I have an even greater appreciation of how yoga has helped navigate me through everyday stresses as well as more challenging times in life, not to mention heighten my experience of the good times! It has become the tonic for so many aspects of my physical and mental wellbeing.

I feel very blessed to be able to share my love of yoga in a teaching capacity and give others the opportunity to experience the many benefits of the practice for themselves.

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance UK and a Children’s Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher with the Independent Yoga Network (IYN).

I  am also available for private and corporate/group sessions. Please contact me for further details.

Classes

I teach vinyasa flow, however I have trained and studied various styles which I incorporate in my classes. I place a strong emphasis on the breath and include mindfulness, meditation and relaxation. I offer variations and modifications in postures so classes are suitable for all. I believe that everybody can experience the benefits of yoga regardless of experience, age, size or fitness. I like to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere in my classes. A good sense of humour is not compulsory, but it helps!

Testimonials

“Hannah’s class and teaching style are warm and friendly. There is no judgement whatever your yoga ability. Her class has kept me sane this past year!!!”
Charlotte, Occupational Therapist, Manchester.

“I take part in a large class that Hannah teaches.  There are beginners and people who have been going for two years or more but Hannah manages to make the class accessible yet challenging for all, with lots of guidance and suggestions for modifications.  There’s a nice balance between the different aspects of yoga.  The atmosphere of Hannah’s class is amiable, motivating and inclusive and I look forward to it each week.”
Mike, Maths Professor, Manchester.

Hannah is an excellent teacher. I am someone who was always dubious of the idea of yoga and the types of people who taught it.
Hannah made me feel comfortable by having a perfectly balanced teaching style that doesn’t make you feel embarrassingly focused on, or untended.
After going through a few different teachers I would definitely say Hannah is the first and only yoga teacher I would recommend  to anyone.”
Thomas, Editor of Real Media, Manchester.

“I started practicing yoga with Hannah about two years ago…as clichéd as it sounds, it has transformed my life. I used to suffer with lower back pain which has really eased since taking Hannah’s classes. Hannah’s clear instruction, easy-going personality and meaningful adjustments really make all the difference. I am a working mum of two and really look forward to the 75 minutes each week of completely switching off to everything. I walk away from the class completely relaxed and with a much better sense of wellbeing. Thank you Hannah!”
Jessica, Drug and Alcohol Worker

“Yoga with Hannah is the best class I have taken over the past 20 years Hannah manages to simultaneously teach beginners whilst challenging the more advanced students. Hannah pays close attention to all her students throughout the class ensuring they are practising correctly and not risking injury. Her classes are both challenging and relaxing with variations each week keeping classes different and interesting. “
Abi, Substance Misuse Practitioner

– she is warm and friendly
– she makes you feel at ease during the class
– she ensures you are working at whatever pace and level is suitable to you personally
– she adapts teaching to what she sees in class (not just to what she knows)
– she always makes you feel both energised and relaxed during the same session
– she is passionate about teaching”
Rachel, Yoga Teacher

“My Friday classes with Hannah gave me the chance to push myself and improve my practice as well as to relax! Would definitely recommend, thanks for the past year Hannah!”
